The functions of the Department:
To supply the companies, institutions and other organizations of the Republic of Lithuania with books and periodicals:
To perform the functions of the methodology, interlibrary and international interlibrary centre of industrial and commercial libraries.
To update bibliographic database Design and Architecture.
To pursue internal and external communications (public relations).
To edit and publish quarterly journal Information and Library.
To mount thematic and art exhibitions.
To promote library services.
